Kyle Leadership Academy
|
The KyleLeadership Academy is an ongoing educational forum allowing Kyle residents the opportunity to learn the inner workings of City government. The goal of the program is to produce an informed population that could serve as resources for various City functions, including but not limited to serving on boards and commissions and the City Council.
|
Participants will be introduced to various functions of each component of government through curriculum modules, seeing first hand the relationships and roles that are involved in the successful implementation of policy and the day-to-day management of a city.
The program is designed to cover 12 components over the course of a year. Individuals will be able to participate in each component as their interest and availability will allow. Those participants that complete preset numbers of components over a period of time will receive certification of having completed a level of the program.
The next session is scheduled for Wednesday, July 16th, from 7 to 9 p.m. at the Kyle Elementary School. Participants must register at least 48 hours in advance by contacting Jerry Hendrix, Kyle Communications Director, at jhendrix@cityofkyle.com or 512-262-3921. Check back to this page as more information becomes available.
