As Planning Director, Shira Rodgers manages both long-range and short-range planning functions, including reviewing the progress of existing projects and participating in the planning of future projects as appropriate.

Shira Rodgers' previous experience includes serving as Development Planner for Cedar Park, Texas. Her duties will include working closely with citizens and community groups, preparing updates to the City’s Comprehensive Plan, and enhancing customer service during the permit review process.

“I admire Kyle’s vision for its future and the City’s commitment to preserving the best features of its past,” explained Rodgers, “I am thrilled at the opportunity to join this great community.”

Rodgers earned a Bachelor of Geography in Urban Planning at Southwest Texas State University, now known as Texas State University.
