Assistant City Manager

      James R. Earp, CPM has been Kyle Assistant City Manager since September 2006. His duties include personnel management and recruiting, budgeting, risk management, and general management support.

     Mr. Earp has a Masters of Public Administration from the University of Texas at Arlington and a Graduate Certificate in Environmental Management, focusing heavily on sustainable development of cities, from Harvard University. He also a holds a BBA in Finance and a BS in Economics from Tarleton State University and has completed the requirements for his Certified Public Manager designation.

     “Kyle is not only a great place to work, but it is also a great place to raise my family,” said Earp, “I am excited to be a part of such a capable team and being a part of this community.”

     Mr. Earp's family includes his wife Melinda, and their children - Jolie, age 5, and Landon, age 7.
