2010 Counselor-In-Training Program (CIT)
Your Kyle Parks and Recreation Department is happy to announce its first ever Counselor-In-Training or CIT program in conjunction with our Summer Day Camp Program. This new program will allow teenagers from the ages of 14-17, who are too old to attend camp and too young to be a counselor at camp, work with the staff and gain hands-on experience and knowledge of what it is like to be a summer day camp counselor.
CITs will learn leadership skills, basic CPR/First Aid (no certification will be given), teamwork, communication, understanding, and much more. This program will not only provide the CIT with
skills they can use for a lifetime, it will also provide them with a fun and safe environment.

Session Information:
Session I -- June 23 - July 2
Session II -- July 12 - July 23
Program Information:
Days: Monday-Friday
Times: 8:00am - 5:00pm
Cost: $60 Per Session Per Child
(No discount for multiple children)
Includes: Afternoon Snack, Field Trips,
Equipment & Supply Fees, and Two T-Shirts
Lunch is available for CIT participants through the Hays CISD summer feeding
program. However, if the participant does not wish to eat the lunch served
by Hays CISD, then the partcipant will need to bring a lunch.

This camp is not a state licensed child care facility; it is a summer camp program governed by the
City of Kyle under Ordinance No. 461, Article IV. Standards of Care for Parks & Recreation
Department Programs for Children, Sections 23.01-23.12.
