SH 45SW - Environmental Study Open House

Calendar Date:
Tuesday, October 8, 2013 -
5:00pm to 8:00pm

As you may be aware, a new environmental study for SH 45SW was launched in June of this year. This study will assess the environmental issues associated with constructing SH 45SW as a four-lane toll road between south MoPac and FM 1626 in northern Hays and southern Travis Counties. The study will address environmental impacts, constraints, the needs of drivers, and concerns of surrounding neighbors.  Because no federal funds are expected to be used on the project, the study will be conducted as a State-level Environmental Impact Statement to be processed and reviewed under TxDOT’s environmental review rules.

While we have already begun reaching out to stakeholders and offering meetings with the project team, public involvement activities will officially kick-off in October with a Public Scoping Meeting/Open House. During this meeting, the public will be given the opportunity to provide input on the draft purpose and need of the project. The Open House will be held:

Tuesday, October 8th

5pm – 8pm

Bailey Middle School (cafeteria)

4020 Lost Oasis Hollow

Austin, TX 78739

Should you have any questions or concerns, please don’t hesitate to contact us. We would be happy to schedule a meeting at your convenience.
