Budget - FY 2011-2012

The Kyle City Council and City staff are currently in the process of developing the city's FY 2011-2012 budget. This web page will have the latest information on the status of the budget along with all budget related documents and schedules as they become available.

The Kyle City Council also invites the public to give comments regarding the development of the FY 2011-2012 budget at the scheduled public hearings throughout the month of August.

The Adopted Fiscal Year 2011-12 Annual Budget is a complete financial plan for all City funds, programs, services, operations, and activities for the period covering October 1, 2011 through September 30, 2012. The City’s proposed Fiscal Year 2011-12 Annual Budget will require raising more revenue from property taxes than in the previous year. The City’s Adopted Annual Budget will also require raising more revenue from water and wastewater rates and charges than in the previous year. The proposed Fiscal Year 2011-12 Annual Budget for all City expenditures totals approximately $37.0 million from all City funds; which includes approximately $12.3 million for the City’s General Fund expenditures. The City Manager will present the City’s Fiscal Year 2011-12 Annual Budget to the City Council on August 1, 2011 at 7:00 p.m., at the Kyle City Hall, 100 West Center Street.

The Public Hearings will be conducted as part of special called and regular meetings of the Kyle City Council on the City’s proposed Fiscal Year 2011-12 Annual Budget, Property Tax Rates, Fees & Charges, and Water/Wastewater Rates at the Kyle City Hall, 100 West Center Street, Kyle, Texas, on the following dates and time:

Monday, August 1, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. – Special Called Meeting

Wednesday, August 3, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. – Special Called Meeting

Wednesday, August 10, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. – Special Called Meeting

Wednesday, August 17, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. – Special Called Meeting

Wednesday, August 24, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. – Special Called Meeting

Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. – Regular Meeting

Tuesday, September 13, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. – Special Called Meeting

All interested parties are invited to attend the public hearings and provide their comments to the City Council. Copies of the City’s proposed Fiscal Year 2011-12 Annual Budget document will be available during Monday through Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (except on a City holiday) beginning August 2, 2011 for public inspection at the Kyle City Hall, 100 West Center Street, Kyle, Texas.
