Director of Finance

The City of Kyle’s Director of Finance is Perwez A. Moheet, CPA.  As the Director of Finance, Mr. Moheet is the Chief Financial Officer for the City of Kyle and is responsible for overseeing the financial operations and financial management functions of the City.  Mr. Moheet also provides management oversight for the City’s Utility Billing and Municipal Court Departments.   The duties and responsibilities of the City’s Director of Finance is prescribed in Article VIII of the City Charter.

Prior to joining the City of Kyle in October 2010, Mr. Moheet served in various financial management positions for the City of Austin for over 30 years, retiring in April 2010 as the Deputy Director and Chief Financial Officer of Austin Water Utility. 

Mr. Moheet is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin.  He completed the certification and licensing requirements to practice as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) and has been a licensed CPA in Texas since 1985.
