~STEEPLECHASE PARK &
CREEK CLEAN-UP~
March 7, 2009
9:00am
Steeplechase Park, located between Lehman Rd and Goforth Rd, has nearly half a mile of Plum Creek running through it.
Each rain storm creates a large amount of trash and driftwood in and around the creek.
Once a year the City of Kyle' Parks and Recreation Department organizes a "Steeplechase Park & Creek Clean-Up Day". This event includes projects such as picking trash out of the creek, removing dead trees, painting,
planting and general cleaning.
This event is co-sponsored by the State of Texas's "Keep Texas Beautiful" program.
This event is a perfect opportunity for the civic organizations in the area to do community service projects that help the environment.
This event is open to Scout Troops, Church Groups, Home Owners Associations, School Groups and Clubs, Environmental Organizations, Sports Teams and Clubs and any one willing to help.
Park Department Staff will begin at
9:00am, Saturday, March 7, 2009.
All major equipment and materials will be provided. All we need is you.
