Michael Sony is the Facility Maintenance Manager for the City of Kyle's Parks and Recreation Department. His day to day duties include supervising the maintenance crews in the city's parks, public grounds and public facilities. This includes managing the park development projects, maintaining the right of ways of city streets and maintenance of every city building including City Hall, Library, Police and Public Works buildings. Michael Started with the City of Kyle in May, 2009. |
Michael brings 31 years of facility services and maintenance experience to the City of Kyle. He spent 19 of those year managing the facility services of Semitech in Austin and another 12 years experience in residential and commercial construction and remodeling.
Michael is from the Houston area and attended the University of Houston. Michael has 3 daughters, Heather, Michelle and Rachel, all of which attended Hays High School. He and his wife Karmen enjoy the outdoors and spending time with the family.
When not at work, Michael can be found at his place in Wimberley, chilling in the pool with the grill smoking or running. In fact, he has competed in 5 marathons - so far.
