Independence Day Celebration Fireworks
July 4, 2008
9:30pm
Kyle HEB Plus is a proud sponsor of this year's Fireworks Show.
The City of Kyle Parks Department set off about 20 minutes of spectacular fireworks at Gregg-Clarke Park.
The Kyle Pool is open till 8:00pm.
Bring a picnic and stay till dark.
The fireworks are set up on the hill behind Wallace Middle School and can be seen from miles away.
At 9:30, look toward the watertower next to Wallace Middle School.
Parking is available on the grass field below the football field in Gregg-Clarke Park. Enter from Center Street across from Cisneros Street.
Parking is also available on the Gregg-Clarke Park Football Field on Ranger Rd, weather permitting.
Picnic tables available at the park on first come basis, so come early, stay late and enjoy the show.
Weather Can Affect The Fireworks
The following are the back-up plans should weather come into play:
Plan "B"
If saturated grounds prevent access to preferred site, the fireworks go on as scheduled, but the launch site is moved to Gregg Dr. This would close down Gregg Dr from the Post Office, close down Ranger Rd from Center St and close down the Park Rd through Gregg-Clarke Park. It would also require all people to stay behind the roped off area between the football field and the softball field in Gregg-Clarke Park.
Plan "C"
If rain is falling at 9:30, when fireworks are scheduled to go off, we will delay the show for upto 90 minutes. If fireworks show can not be started before 11:00pm, it will be re-scheduled to 9:30pm the following day. If the following day is a rainout, after the 90 minute delay, the fireworks show will be scheduled for another day. That date will be published here and in all local media.
