Planning and Zoning Commission

Planning and Zoning Commission will be working on the following items in 2014:

The Planning and Zoning Commission consists of seven members serving two-year terms. Meetings are generally held on the 2nd and 4th Tuesday’s of the month at 6:30 p.m. Meeting agendas and case information can be found on the city’s homepage by clicking on the
Agenda and Meetings button on the left hand side of the homepage or by clicking on the following link and the selecting Planning and Zoning Commission on drop down box identified as Council, Boards, and Commission. 

The City Council has identified the following assignments for the Planning Commission to work on in 2014:

Review of the Plum Creek PUD ordinance- specifically the MXD use category and buffering requirements between commercial and residential developments

Currently under review by the Planning Commission- a workshop to discuss specific sections of the PUD is scheduled for Monday, January 27th @ 6:30 p.m. in City Hall. Copies of the ordinances under review and a comparison of development standards can be found below.

Complete the comprehensive plan updates that were started in 2013

Currently under review by the Long Range Planning Committee- Long Range Planning Committee meeting is scheduled for Thursday, January 16th @ 7p.m.

*Review and recommend amendments to the landscape ordinance
*Review and recommend amendments to perimeter road fee requirements outlined in the   subdivision ordinance.
*Prepare an ETJ management plan
