Jerry Hendrix joined the City of Kyle in September, 2007, after 13 years with the City of Austin. Hendrix spent the previous five years prior to coming to Kyle managing the public information and marketing functions of Austin’s Solid Waste Services department and has over 10 years of experience coordinating communications and public information activities at the municipal government level. Hendrix is also accredited in public relations by the Public Relations Society of America.
Hendrix’s experience includes developing and managing multi-level communication campaigns designed to reach broad audiences as well as serving as spokesman for various programs and events.
In addition to being the primary contact for the City of Kyle for the news media, Hendrix will be coordinating the City of Kyle’s multiple communication tools and will be focusing on improving how the Citizens of Kyle are able to access information about their city.
