Registration for the Kyle Public Reading Program begins on Monday, June 3rd. Adults and children may register for this exciting program that takes place during June and July. All those who register will be entered into a grand prize drawing. Once you register you will receive a reading log to keep track of your reading.
Please refer to the link under "Supporting Documents" for the June and July calendars which contain the dates and times of the various Summer Reading Program Events.
Every day that you read you may check off one book on your reading log. If you read to your child, you may check off a book on your child's reading log.
We highly recommend that you read at least 15 to 20 minutes a day. Since there are prizes for both adults and children, we encourage adults to participate in the program.
Once you check off five books for five days of reading, please bring your reading log to the library. Your log will be stamped, and you may collect a reading reward from the treasure chest. There will be rewards for both adults and children!
When the entire reading log is completed bring it to the library to collect your last reward. All those who finish the reading log will earn a reading certificate and get a second entry for the grand prize drawing.
