The City of Kyle's Stage 2 Drought Management Measures are now in effect. These restrictions now include mandatory twice per week watering and restrictions on car washing and other outside uses of water.

The City of San Marcos hosts collections for household hazardous waste twice per week at the City Hall traffic yard (630 E. Hopkins--across from the big HEB) on Tuesday and Friday from noon until 3:30 p.m. The collections are open to all residents of Hays County, proof of residency in the form of a drivers license or other documentation is required.

Each year, more deaths occur due to flooding than from any other severe weather related hazard. The main reason is people underestimate the force and power of water. More than half of all flood related deaths result from vehicles being swept downstream. Of these, many are preventable.

Kyle Public Works Administrative Office is located at 520 E. Ranch Road 150 and is open to the public  Monday through Thursday from 8:00 am - 5:30 pm and on Friday from 8 am to 12 pm.
