Who makes up your street department?
The City of Kyle’s Street Department is made up of six employees, which consists of four Street Technicians, a Foreman and one Crew Leader.
What does the street department do?
The Street Department is in charge of maintaining the upkeep of the city’s streets, sidewalks, storm drains, and street signs. There are approximately 115 miles of public streets that are maintained. There are approximately 115 miles of public streets that are maintained. The crew also maintains 1,843 storm sewer inlets, 261 storm sewer outlets, and 750 storm sewer manholes.

Currently, traffic lights inside the City of Kyle are on roadways maintained by the Texas Department of Transportation (TXDOT). To report a traffic light problem, please contact TXDOT at (512) 353-1061.
