Q. How do I set up services for water, sewer and garbage?

A. Applications for new service may be obtained in the Admin Office or download a copy, fill it out and bring it in. There is a deposit and service fee required to set up services.

Q. How much is the deposit and service fees?

A. If you are inside the city limits, the deposit is $50 and the service fee is $40, for a total of $90. If you are outside the city limits, the deposit is $75 and the service fee is $60, for a total of $135.

Q. If I need services, how soon can they be turned on?

A. If you come into the Admin Office and complete the payment process by 4:00pm, the water can be on that same day.

Q. I do not have a garbage can or recycling bin, how do I get them?

A. After setting up services, Texas Disposal System should deliver a garbage can and recycling bin within 21 days. Texas Disposal System's phone number is 1-800-375-8375 and their website is right here.

Q. What day is garbage pick-up days in Kyle?

A. If your address is on the east side of IH-35, your day is Monday. If your address is on the west side of IH-35, your day is Tuesday. Your can must be at the street by 7:00am and empty cans must be off the streets by 10:00pm.

Q. To pay my bill with the city, what method of payment is accepted?

A. The city accepts personal checks, cashier checks, money orders (all made ot to 'The City of Kyle'), Mastercard, Visa and Discover. And of course, cash is always accepted.

Q. If I need to disconnect service, what is the process?

A. A written request is required from the person whose name appears on the account. The written request must be signed and can be faxed (512-262-3800) or delivered to Admin Office. The request needs the following information: name on account, address on account, date of disconnection, forwarding address for final billing and signature by person on account.

Q. Can I pay my City of Kyle bill on line?

A. Not yet, but soon. Many banks offer on-line bill paying. Please check with your bank for this service.

Q. How do I register my pet and how much for a license?

A. Fill out the Application for Animal Registry form and bring to Admin Office along with a copy of the animals' rabies vaccination record. The fee for pets spayed or neutered is $3, if not spayed or neutered the fee is $5. The annual renewal fee is $2. PAWS website link.

Q. Transfering service from one address to another in Kyle. What do I do?

A. Contact the Admin Office and request this service. There is a $40 transfer fee. You can email the utility clerk at utilities@cityofkyle.com or call them at (512) 262-3800. The deposit can be transfered to the new account.

Q. When can I get my deposit back?

A. After 2 years of making your payments on time, the deposit will automatically be credited to your account. There is no need to request this as the system does it for you. If you are moving, the deposit will be credited to your final bill.
