Summer Day Camps - Youth & Teen

**In order to ensure your camper receives the shirt size he or she needs,

forms and payments or deposits must be received  by May 18 at 4 PM.**

Registration for Returning Campers March 29 & 30.

Registration for New Campers March 31.

 

Summer Youth & Teen Camps

Voyager (Youth): Entering 2nd-5th Grade

Adventure (Teen): Entering 6th-9th Grade

Days: Monday - Friday

Hours: 6:45am - 6:30pm

​Place: Wallace Middle School

It is our goal to offer a recreational program that youth can participate in to maintain a happy, healthy and active lifestyle; rather than sit on the couch and play video games all summer. We strive to introduce the children to new and different ways to recreate through physically and mentally exhilarating field trips, on-site activities and valuable friendships.

$120 per child, per week plus a $32 registration fee (includes all supplies, two t-shirts and field trips)

There are no discounts for multiple children, scholarships, or income based subsidies available.

Breakfast, lunch & snack will be provided.  If your child chooses to bring their lunch, please ensure it contains an ice pack if it needs to remain cooled.  We are unable to refrigerate camper lunches.  Also, please send a water bottle with your camper everyday.

Counselor-In-Training (CIT) Program

CITs: Entering 10th-12th Grade

The purpose of the Counselor-In-Training or CIT is to offer young people, grades 10-12, the opportunity to become familiar with the leadership skills and responsibilities required to become a camp counselor.  CITs will gain knowledge of these skills through meaningful discussions and learning sessions,  shadowing staff, participation in planning and executing projects, and attending field trips and special events for camp. Space is limited to 6 CIT positions per week.  

$35 per teen, per week plus a one time $25 registration fee (includes meals, CIT training materials, three t-shirts and field trips)

There are no discounts for multiple children, scholarships, or income based subsidies available.

This camp is not a state licensed child care facility; it is a summer camp program governed by the City of Kyle under Ordinance No. 461, Article IV. Standards of Care for Parks & Recreation Department Programs for Children, Sections 23.01-23.12.
