Lake Kyle Volunteers

City of Kyle Texas Official Website

We Need You - Get Involved!

Lake Kyle is a managed park which means that the gates to the park are open only when the park headquarters is open. To maximize the number of hours Lake Kyle is open to the public and minimize the impact on the budget, we need volunteers... lots of volunteers.

Additionally, Lake Kyle, and surrounding Plum Creek Preserve & Nature Trail, encompass several hundred acres of park land and open spaces. To maintain this precious land at a level expected for future generations, many volunteers are needed.

As Lake Kyle develops and programs, activities and events evolve, we will need help with education and instruction. The teachers and instructors need assistance from these volunteers to set up the activity, assist participants with programs and lend a helping hand during the event.

As a volunteer with the City of Kyle's Parks and Recreation Department you will have the chance to share our motto of "Improving the Quality of Life in Kyle" and help us fulfill our mission statement of "...providing an array of recreational opportunities for our community..." (You will also get a nice t-shirt) This volunteer program is very flexible and can be exactly what you are looking for to expand your own quality of life.

Students in school needing community service hours... Scouts needing a project for a badge or rank... college interns looking for a semester program... adults or retirees looking to get out of the house and into nature... anyone looking for experience and a recommendation on an application... we have something for you.
