INVITATION FOR BID (IFB) NO: 2012-03-PARD

SPECIFICATIONS AND GENERAL BID REQUIREMENTS

SCOPE:

The City of Kyle, Texas is soliciting bids to purchase 1 ADA portable pool lift to be utilized by the City of Kyle Swimming Pool in carrying-out their government regulations for daily operation for summer 2012. The City is soliciting vendors to provide bids as follows:

1. A portable lift that has the minimum of: battery operated, 300 lb maximum, cover, and arm rest.

2. The bid should consist of the price of the lift, assembly of lift, estimated freight for portable lift, and delivered to pool 1100 W. Center St.

BID RESPONSE FORMAT:

All response to this Invitation for Bids (IFB) must be on the vendor or firm’s letterhead and must include the following minimum information. Incomplete bids submitted will be considered unacceptable and will be rejected.

1. Responder company’s name.
2. Physical and mailing address
3. Contact person’s name, title, telephone number, and email address.
4. Completed Form W-9 (attached)
5. Lump Sum Total Not To Exceed Bid Amount

GENERAL CONDITIONS:

Equipment shall be manufacturer’s latest model and shall abide by the ADA compliance. All components shall be installed new, unused, and equipment is to be serviced in accordance with manufacturer’s recommended pre-delivery checklist and shall be ready for operation upon delivery. Equipment offered below the listed specifications will be considered unacceptable.

BID AMOUNT GUARANTY

All vendors responding to this IFB issued by the City of Kyle, fully understand and unequivocally accept that by submitting a written bid, are unconditionally accepting the City's requirement that the lump sum bid amount submitted in response to this IFB will be good for a minimum of sixty (60) days from the date of City's bid opening.

WARRANTY

Warranty and parts dealer and manufacturer must provide the maximum standard manufacturer’s warranty on all components parts and services included. All components, parts, and service are required to provide as a minimum one year unlimited warranty.

DELIVERY

Delivery of the portable lift is to be made at the Kyle Pool 1100 W. Center St. or at a location acceptable to and agreed upon by the City’s Pool Manager or Parks Director.

SPECIFICATIONS

a) Quantity: one (1) ADA Pool Portable lift

b) Brakes: Independent anti-lock brake system, hydraulic disc brakes for front
and rear wheels, brakes shall be free of heat fade, and with uniform
expanding rotors.

c) Brakes: lift shall be provided with a stabilizer arm system to allow
optimum handling conditions as required in movement.

d) Wheels/Tires: Black slotted disc wheels with breaks on each wheel,
Tubeless tires to have non-skid
tread, designed to operate on paved pool deck and shall have a
four-ply fabric enforcement.

e) Electrical: All electrical systems must be 24-volts DC, starter,
charging system, connectors, hand controls, and water resistant switches.

f) Features: seat with breathable material
seat belt
battery, and battery charger
Pivoting foot boards with non-skid rubber pads.
One key fits all locks.
