Lifeguard Training Course
This course is designed to teach participants the skills they will need to recognize and respond to emergency situations in and around water. Each participant will also learn CPR, First Aid, and how to use an AED to respond to cardiac emergencies. A whistle and lanyard are required; all other materials will be provided. Registration at Kyle Parks Offices, 700 Lehman Rd (Lake Kyle), Monday - Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm
Course Dates:
Lifeguard Pre-course: will be held at Texas State ASC Facility March 16 from 6:30-8:30 PM.
-Cost $50 non-refundable
Life guarding course: March 17-18 will be at the Kyle City Hall
March 24-25 will be at the Texas State ASC Facility.
* March 24 (Saturday) 10:00-4:00 pm (Students please bring the following: whistle, towels, CPR mask, manual, and lunch
*March 25 (Sunday) students will receive information on Saturday.

**All participants must attend all dates to become certified

Basic Water Rescue
The purpose of the American Red Cross Basic Water Rescue course is to provide individuals, such as public safety personnel, aquatic fitness instructors, and childcare staff, with information and skills necessary to prevent, recognize, and respond to aquatic emergencies. This course will also prepare individuals for aquatic emergencies by teaching them how to protect themselves while assisting others. Come prepared to get wet! This course is required for organizations that want to bring groups of children or adults, for recreational swimming, to the Kyle Pool.
