Bebee Road (2022 Road Bond Projects)
CURRENT CLOSURE
Bebee Road: Starting on Thursday, May 18, there will be intermittent lane closures on Bebee Rd. from the I-35 Frontage Rd. to Willow Terrace so Geotech borings can be taken by consultants as part of the 2022 Road Bond passed in November.
Work will be done between the hours of 9 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and is expected to last for approximately three weeks, weather permitting.
Drivers are asked to obey traffic warning signs and watch out for equipment and workers.
OVERVIEW
In November 2022, Kyle voters passed Proposition A that called for $294.4 million to reconstruct, expand and upgrade specific roadways in the City of Kyle. It’s also expected that these roads will have a positive impact on the quality of life for Kyle residents by facilitating the addition of amenities including restaurants, shopping, trails, and recreation.
In total, Proposition A includes 8 roadway projects across the city totaling 10.3 miles of new roads, reconstruction, and widening projects to improve the city’s transportation network.
These projects will provide additional capacity to support current and future traffic needs, boost quality of life experiences through economic development, congestion reduce emergency response times, increase vehicular and pedestrian safety, and strengthen connections between the east and west sides of Kyle.
