Who makes up your street department?

The City of Kyle’s Street Department is comprised of several employees, consisting of Street Technicians, Foremen and Crew Leaders.

What does the street department do?

The Street Department is in charge of maintaining the upkeep of the city’s streets, storm drains, and street signs. There are approximately 115 miles of public streets that are maintained. The crew also maintains 1,843 storm sewer inlets, 261 storm sewer outlets, and 750 storm sewer manholes.

Who maintains our street lights?

Please contact the City of Kyle Environmental Services at 737-414-9013 with any concerns regarding city street lights and they will direct these concerns to the appropriate entity. In some neighborhoods, the HOA may be responsible for repair and replacement of street lights.

Who maintains our traffic lights?

Within the Kyle city limits, traffic lights are maintained by the City of Kyle. To report a traffic light problem within the city limits, contact Public Works at 512-262-3024.
