***Sept. 15, 2023 UPDATE: Due to inclement weather TxDOT was unable to finish this project on Thursday, Sept. 14. Work will resume on Sunday, Sept. 17 starting at 6 p.m.***
This is a notification that starting on Thursday, Sept. 14 TxDOT will close RM 967 between Gateway Boulevard and the southbound Interstate 35 Frontage Road to remove and replace pipes.
Work will take place between 8 p.m. and 5 a.m. to not affect school traffic, weather permitting. Construction is expected to last one night. Drivers are asked to obey traffic warning signs and detours and should watch out for heavy equipment and flaggers.
During this construction, traffic will be detoured to take Gateway Boulevard to Chula Hill Drive to the southbound Interstate 35 Frontage Road. Drivers can also take Gateway Boulevard to Vista Ridge Drive to Kyle Crossing to the Southbound Interstate 35 Frontage Road.
