Following a request from Wallace Middle School and a TxDOT study and recommendation, the Kyle City Council voted to adopt an ordinance at the July 18, 2023 Meeting that would lower the speed along certain sections of Veterans Drive and create a school zone.
The changes to FM 150 are as follows:
- From Dove Hollow Drive to Silverado Drive on Veteran's Drive, the speed limit will lower from 55 mph to 45 mph.
- From Silverado Drive to West Center Street on Veteran's Drive, the speed limit will lower from 45 mph to 40 mph.
- From Porter Street to Cockerham Street on Veteran's Drive a school zone with a speed limit of 25 mph will be installed.
New signage for the speed limit changes and school zone are being put in place currently.
