On Friday, Jan. 5 Kyle Public Works began installing temporary traffic signals at the intersection of Kohlers and Kyle Crossing in an effort to immediately address safety concerns and congestion. The traffic signals will not change the traffic pattern at the intersection at this time. They will be set to flash red, and the stop signs will stay in place.
On Tuesday, Jan. 16 the traffic signals will be activated, the stop signs will be removed and the Kohlers Crossing and Kyle Crossing intersection will be controlled by the traffic signals.
Once the signals are activated, drivers are asked to drive safely and observe the new traffic patterns in the area.
These temporary traffic signals will remain in place until permanent signalization improvements are made at the intersection. The permanent improvements are currently under design and utilities are being moved in preparation.
