What is CertiPIED?

We all know it takes a village to accomplish greatness. CertiPIEd is Kyle's business/civic organization outreach program that encourages businesses, organizations and groups of all kinds to engage in the "Pie Capital of Texas" brand. This is a great opportunity for businesses to gain extra publicity while building camaraderie within the city.

Trisha Wilder, Edward Jones - gives customers a pie server with the Edward Jones logo on it.

Safe-n-Sound Self Storage - offers mini pies to all new customers.

The New World Bakery - makes pizza dough for Sea World concessions and is incorporating the pie capital logo into their packaging. 

Allen Deaver, Realtor - Allen delivers fresh pies to new homeowners at closing.

Broadway Bank, Kyle - sponsors various pie-eating competitions throughout the year and is looking to offer pie-shaped piggie banks at their location.

Kyle Correctional Center - crochets hot pads in the design of a pie and donates to a local charity so they can use them as a fundraiser. Not only does this help expand the pie community and brand, but it also helps cross-promote two organziations. Win-Win! 

Hampton Inn, Kyle - Gives their guests pie-shaped candles at check-in as a welcome gift.

Texas Pie Company - Need we say more?  

For the Love of Go - a nonprofit based in Kyle that organizes fundraising runs for local groups. They will promote the Pie Capital of Texas and the CertiPIEd initiative in their race packets.

Wallace Middle School - They host a Pie Run every year to raise money for the PTA.

Plum Creek HOA Front Porch Days - Over a two-day community event, the HOA hosts a pie baking contest.

Pups & Mutts - Selling Pup Pies, a wholesome treat for pets made with all-natural ingredients.

Greater Texas Credit Union - The branch gives away pie scented hanging car fresheners in three delicious flavors.

Hands-On Healing Spa - They offer "Pie Capital" facials, using special scents like blueberry and pumpkin that are made from all-natural items.

Capstone Dental - They created a Smile Survival Kit that uses the Pie Capital of Texas logo.

First Lockhart National Bank in Kyle - They have 'Come Pie with Us Fridays' where customers and potential customers can visit the bank to discuss their financial goals while eating delicious mini-pies.

Thistlewood Manor & Gardens - This special events location offers cooking classes that feature pies; they also added several menu items including Chicken Pot Pie.

Kyle ER and Hospital - They have a goody bag for all patients with the Pie Capital logo on it.

Kyle Area Chamber of Commerce - As part of their Geotour, the Chamber created geocaching coins with the Pie Capital of Texas logo on one side.

Wildflower Blessings Floral Shop - They offer "pie" bouquets in apple, cherry and peach.

Orchard Park of Kyle - Anyone who takes a tour of the facility is offered a pie. Hays Home Team at Keller Williams Realty - They deliver pies to clients each Thanksgiving.
Trust Texas Bank - This community bank offers jar grippers with the Pie Capital logo as well as recipe cards for great pies. Mathnasium - Has a monthly Pi contest for students.
Blue Crest Media - Offers a free SEO marketing seminar for other CertiPIEd businesses to increase their share of the pie. Warrior Wellness & Recovery - Make hand-made aromatherapy soap in shapes of mini pie slices
Sky Realty Kyle - Offer a pie (could be quiche or pizza) and a bottle of wine to new homeowners on the day of move-in. The Green at Plum Creek - hosts a monthly Pie Night for residents.
Kyle Flower Shop - creates a pie slice bouquet that looks like coconut cream pie. Ascension Seton Hays - gives newborn babies a Cutie Pie certificate and serves pie in the cafeteria with the Pie Capital logo.
Kyle Family & Injury Chiropractic - Wellness patients receive a gift bag that includes a family pie recipe. EZ CPR - Clients are entered into a monthly drawing for a gift card for a variety of pies.
Mandy Hedrick with Clark Real Estate Agency - homebuyers receive a pie in celebration of National Pi Day. B Sweet Cupcakery - Gives pies to hometown heroes each month.
Daniel Chappell, Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices Texas Realty - hosts a house-warming party for clients featuring pie Acuity Eye Care - Gives a goodie bag with the Pie Capital logo to all patients.

On Centre Street Realty - Has a destination sign that states "I Love Pie So Much."  Stop by and take your picture there today! 

KB Home - Stagecoach Crossing & Sunset Hills -Gives their new homeowners a cutting board, pie plate and a recipe for "Kyle Apple Pie" to welcome buyers into their new home in Kyle.     

Kindred Animal Hospital - They serve "Pup Pies" at their anniversary parties and give out shepherds pie flavored dog treats throughout the year. 

Barton Financial Group, LLC - Gives their clients a "Portfolio Pie Recipe" explaining their portfolio as all of the ingredients needed to make a pie. 

Goldilocks Cleaning Services - Gives their clients a pie cutter with their logo along with a recipe card for the holidays

Kyle Methodist Church - they offer a pie to all new church members.
Betty Bustamante, Asset Realty- Offers a pie (could be quiche or pizza) and a bottle of wine to new homeowners on the day of move-in.

How do I become CertiPIEd?

Is your business, organization, or group ready to become CertiPIEd? 

Step 1:  Brainstorm with your group on how you can incorporate the Pie Capital of Texas theme into your business! Maybe it's hosting a customer appreciation event and you serve Frito Pie or Pizza Pie, maybe you are a school that holds a Pi themed math competition, maybe you host a pie-making competition, the ways are truly endless!  (get it, 3.14... endless....)
Step 2:  Complete your application here.  
Step 3:  The Branding team will review your application and let you know if you've been selected to be part of the CertiPIEd "club" or they'll help you come up with other ideas!  
Step 4:  Your group or business will be welcomed with the official CertiPIEd swag!
