KYLE, TEXAS –– The Kyle Police Department invites residents to participate in a collaborative discussion to develop a clear understanding of public safety concerns and expectations of the Kyle Police Department at two upcoming community open house events.

The first open house will be on Wednesday, April 10 from 6-7:30 p.m. at Kyle City Hall, 100 W. Center St. This will also be live streamed with the ability to ask questions and engage virtually for those unable to attend in person. The livestream will be available on Kyle 10, City of Kyle YouTube, and Facebook pages

The second open house will be in-person on Saturday, April 20 from 10-11:30 a.m. at the Kyle Public Safety Center, 1700 Kohlers Crossing

Topics of discussion at both community feedback events include public safety issues, community presence, responsiveness, and proactive policing. The feedback provided will play a vital role in identifying the staffing and resources needed to ensure public safety in our growing community.

A few questions that feedback will be requested for are:

  • What are the main public safety issues in Kyle?
  • Are police officers currently visible in local neighborhoods?
  • Do local neighborhoods feel safe?
  • How can the police department work more closely with the community?

These events are being held in partnership with Matrix Consulting Group to evaluate the staffing requirements of the Kyle Police Department.
