Earth Day Tree Planting Ceremony & Native Plant Giveaway

The City of Kyle Parks and Recreation Department and City Limits Subaru in Buda invite the community to join us for an Earth Day Tree Planting Ceremony and Native Plant Giveaway on Earth Day, Monday, April 22 at 10 a.m. at Heroes Memorial Park, 4301 Benner Rd.

During the ceremony, three Redbud and three Desert Willow trees donated by City Limits Subaru will be planted at Heroes Memorial Park, where U.S. military veterans and first responders are honored through an educational, reflective, and celebratory experience.

Following the ceremony, the Kyle Parks and Recreation Department will host a Native Plant Giveaway where city staff will hand out 100 native plants in 4-inch pots on a first come, first serve basis.

Light refreshments will be served and registration is not required.

For more than two decades, Subaru and its retailers have been committed to leaving a legacy of protecting and conserving the Earth. Subaru is the largest corporate donor to the National Parks Foundation, helping protect over 400 national parks. To help make our parks more sustainable, Subaru partners with the National Parks Conservation Association, and to help our nation’s forests recover from devastating wildfires, Subaru and its retailers support organizations like the National Forest Foundation to replant over one million trees. We invite the public to join city leaders and City Limits Subaru as we plant trees on Earth Day!
