Santa's Arrival

Join us in welcoming Santa to the City of Kyle on Sunday, Dec. 1 from 4-9 p.m. at Mary Kyle Hartson City Square Park, 101 S. Burleson St.

Bring your family and friends for the official kick-off to the Holidays in Kyle. Since 1999, the city has invited Santa to Mary Kyle Hartson City Square Park to be a part of the downtown tree-lighting event, and he's been at every one since!

Come enjoy holiday music performed by local school choirs and bands and free activities for children. Selected vendors will be on site with festive food and drinks and holiday vendors with special items to give you a head start on Christmas shopping.

Gingerbread Competition

The 2nd Annual City of Kyle Gingerbread House Competition will be held at Santa's Arrival on Sunda, Dec. 1, 2024 at Mary Kyle Hartson Park. Gingerbread artists of all ages and backgrounds are invited to compete!

All Gingerbread entries will be judged in-person on Sunday, Dec. 1st at 6pm at Mary Kyle Hartson City Square Park. After judging, the Top 8 finalists will be selected (Top 2 finalists from each age category). The community will also choose a winner for the People’s Choice: Best In Show Award! Voting for the People’s Choice Award begins promptly at 5:15pm at Santa's Arrival.

We will celebrate all Competitors with the in-person Awards during the Santa’s Arrival event, as well as be recognized on city social media! To participate register at Kyle Team Sideline.

Pictures with Santa

Santa will be available for FREE pictures. Pictures must be taken with your own personal camera or device. A professional photographer will not be present. The doors will open at 4:00 p.m. and the line will be cut off at a certain point at 8 p.m. but other Santa photo opportunities will be available in December.
