Get Ready for Live Music, Carnival Rides, and Piles of Kyles at the Kyle Fair A Tex-Travaganza

KYLE, TEXAS –– Get on down to Lake Kyle for a party that’ll knock the stink off a skunk! The Kyle Fair A Tex-Travaganza returns May 17-19 for three days of free, live music, carnival rides and games, good eats and cold drinks, the Gathering of the Kyles official GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS ™ attempt, a drone show, and more.  

Entertainment: 

Entry to the Kyle Fair is free, including our great lineup of live music on two stages, the Gameday Boots Main Stage and the Kyle Stage.  

Performances include four-time Billboard Hot Country Songs chart-topper Kevin Fowler, well-known Texas country artist Kody West, Tejano artists Michael Salgado and Siggno, as well as Central Texas cover band the Spazmatics, to name just a few. For a look at the full lineup, visit KyleFair.com.  

VIP passes are available for purchase online. VIP passes include a commemorative wristband, on-site parking pass, swag, free food, free drinks during VIP tent hours and more. Attendees can also enjoy carnival rides and games, check out the local arts and crafts vendors, and point their eyes to the sky at 9 p.m. on May 18 for a drone show.  

Food & Drink: 

Participate in the People’s Choice Ribs, ‘Ritas, and Fajitas contests and chow down on a smokey rack of ribs, make your mouth-water over some sizzling fajitas, and if you’re over 21, pair it with a refreshing margarita.  

To take part, fairgoers who purchase a wristband for $5 will be given three wooden nickels. They can then use those nickels to vote in a sealed container at the check-in booth with event staff after taste-testing contest entrants.  

The People’s Choice Margarita Contest will take place on Friday, May 17 from 7:30-10 p.m. The People’s Choice Fajita Contest will take place on Saturday, May 18 from 2-3:30 p.m. The People’s Choice Rib Contest will take place on Saturday, May 18 from 6:30-8 p.m.  

Along with the Rib and Rita competitions, food will be available for purchase at various food trucks, food vendors and carnival vendors. Beer vendors and a 'Rita Lounge will also be on site.   

Gathering of the Kyles: 

Got a Kyle in your life aspiring to do great things? Tell them to make their way to the Kyle Fair on Saturday May 18 for the Gathering of the Kyles official GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS ™ attempt for the largest same-name, first name only gathering. 

This year, the Gathering of the Kyles will take place at 1 p.m. on Saturday, May 18. All Kyles that participate will be given a free Kyle Fair T-shirt while supplies last. We encourage all Kyles to pre-register online at KyleFair.com or in-person during the following dates and times:  

  • Friday, May 17 from 4-10:30 p.m.  
  • Saturday, May from 8 a.m. - 12:30 p.m.

Volunteer Opportunities: 

The City of Kyle is currently looking for volunteers to be a part of this finer than a frog hair event. All volunteers will receive a meal during their shift, an onsite parking pass, and Kyle Fair swag. To sign up, visit KyleFair.com

How to Get There: 

Free Parking and Shuttles with ADA accessibility will be available at Steeplechase Park, Lehman High School and Tobias Elementary. Limited ADA parking will be available at Lake Kyle Park, 700 Lehman Road, and all shuttle locations. Shuttle services will begin on Friday, May 17 at 6 p.m. Shuttles will run continuously during festival hours on Saturday, May 18 and Sunday, May 19.

During festival hours, Masonwood Drive between Lehman Road and Whispering Hollow Drive will be closed. Residents should also be prepared for increased traffic on Lehman Road and are encouraged to seek alternative routes during festival hours. 

Kyle fairgoers can bring in chairs, blankets, sheets, and towels, sunscreen, and baby strollers. There will also be a shade tent near the stage. Check KyleFair.com for a list of prohibited and allowed items.
