City Council Unanimously Approves Three New Stop Signs at Intersections in Kyle

KYLE, TEXAS –– Kyle City Council unanimously voted to approve an ordinance to add four-way stop signs to three intersections in the City of Kyle during the Tuesday, April 4 meeting.  

The stop signs will be added to the intersections of Sanders and Kohlers Crossing, County Road 158 and Old Post Road, and Spring Branch Drive and Spring Branch Loop/Fall Creek Drive.  

All three intersections were examined by City of Kyle traffic engineers, leading to the determination that further safety measures were needed.  

Message boards notifying drivers of the upcoming traffic pattern changes will be installed at the Sanders and Kohlers Crossing intersection on Monday, April 17 and Tuesday, April 18. Stop signs with flashing beacons have been ordered for the Sanders and Kohlers Crossing intersection, they will be put in place upon arrival.

Stop signs at the Spring Branch Drive and Spring Branch Loop/Fall Creek Drive will be installed on Monday, April 17. 

Drivers are urged to keep safety in mind when navigating these intersections. 

Additional safety measures, like stop lights or roundabouts, may be added to these intersections in the future.
