City of Kyle Announces Unofficial Runoff Election Results for District 1 City Council Seat

KYLE, TEXAS – Following the Runoff election on Tuesday, Dec. 13, 2022, unofficial results indicate Bear Heiser will be the city council member for the District 1 At-large seat.

Runoff elections are initiated when candidates do not meet the Majority Vote Requirement of 50% plus one vote. The candidates for the runoff were Bear Heiser and Amanda Stark, the two candidates that received the highest number of votes in the November General Election.

According to unofficial election results, Heiser received 71.7% of the votes — or 760 votes –– and Stark received 28.3% of the votes — or 300 votes in the Runoff election. These results will not be official until they are canvassed on Tuesday, Dec. 20.

Heiser will be sworn in at the City of Kyle’s Tuesday, Dec. 20 City Council meeting.
