City of Kyle to Host Downtown Master Plan Open House

Residents Invited to Review the Draft of the Downtown Master Plan and Provide Input

KYLE, TEXAS –– The City of Kyle invites the community to join us for a Downtown Master Plan Open House on Thursday, Feb. 23 from 5 - 8 p.m. at Kyle City Hall, 100 W. Center St.  

The Downtown Kyle Master Plan is an effort intended to help preserve and protect the City’s charm while allowing for careful improvements to the downtown area including existing and new public spaces and buildings.  

The City of Kyle is also launching a Downtown Master Plan survey to get additional community input. Residents can take that survey at CityofKyle.com/Downtown from Thursday, Feb. 9 to Thursday, March 2.  

A draft of the City of Kyle’s Downtown Master Plan is now available for review at CityofKyle.com/Downtown. Residents are encouraged to review the draft and tell us what can be improved, added, changed or kept the same at the Open House event, where staff will be available to answer questions and speak to residents.  

Some of the goals outlined in the draft include promoting a greater variety of land uses including grocery, retail and restaurants; increasing residential living options while preserving current residents’ way of life; and creating a unique downtown that modernizes Kyle’s history and charm.
