City of Kyle Hosts 2022 Veterans Day Parade

KYLE, TEXAS – The City of Kyle invites the community to join us in honoring our veterans at the 2022 Kyle Veterans Day Parade on Saturday, Nov. 12 starting at noon.

After the parade, participants and citizens are invited to attend the festivities at Mary Kyle Hartson Park. The day will include live music, market vendors, and family friendly activities from 9 a.m. - 2 p.m.

“We are excited to host this year’s Veterans Day Parade to honor Kyle’s veterans,” Kyle Parks and Recreation Director Mariana Espinoza said. “We hope the community will join us in commemorating our local veterans for their sacrifices and willingness to serve."

The parade route will start at 12 p.m. from Gregg-Clarke Park and travel along Center Street, ending at Front Street on the City Square. Center Street from Ramirez Street to just past Front Street will be closed to traffic from 11:30 a.m. until after the parade. Traffic will be detoured using N. Front Street, Blanco Street, and Veterans Drive.

The best locations to view the Kyle Veterans Day Parade are on either side of Center Street between Gregg-Clarke Park and Mary Kyle Hartson Park. To keep everyone safe, the city is asking attendees to stay on sidewalks or grassy areas along Center Street and to not run into the street when the parade is going by.

Additional Parking will be available at the Central Texas AMVETS Post 115, 401 Veterans Dr.

The Veterans Day Parade will also be live streamed on Kyle10, the City’s YouTube channel or the City of Kyle Facebook Page.

The Kyle Parks and Recreation Department is still taking parade entries! The deadline for entering is 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 8, or until all spaces are filled. Entry for the parade is free but space is limited to 40 entries. Interested organizations and individuals can apply at www.cityofkyle.com/recreation/2022-kyle-veterans-day-parade-entry-form
