KYLE, TEXAS –– The City of Kyle invites the community to join us at our upcoming Road Bond Program Open House on Wednesday, June 28 at 5 p.m. at Kyle City Hall, 100 W. Center St., for an opportunity to learn about each of the eight road improvement projects approved by voters during the 2022 election.

Attendees will be able to review information about project concepts, ask questions about the projects individually or the program as a whole, learn about how tax dollars are spent to complete road projects, and provide valuable feedback to help shape the future of our city.

This event will happen in two parts. The first half of the event will feature a live-streamed panel of experts answering your questions about the bond projects. This interactive discussion aims to bring transparency and clarity for Kyle residents by providing a space for voices to be heard and concerns to be addressed.

The second part will be an informal, come-and-go style event where City of Kyle residents will be able to visit various stations. Each station will provide detailed information about the different road bond projects and provide attendees with an opportunity to ask questions about how these improvements will benefit the community, absorb specifics and understand project timelines.

These stations also offer multiple ways for residents to record comments and suggestions which will aid the City in making sure the 2022 Road Bond projects meet the expectations and needs of community members.

In November of 2022, City of Kyle Voters approved Proposition A, a $294 million bond to provide funding for critical transportation projects that will decrease congestion and improve overall safety and mobility in Kyle. All told, the bond includes 8 roadway projects (to be completed in 10 segments) across the city totaling 10.3 miles of new roads, reconstruction, and widening projects to improve the city’s transportation network.

These projects will provide additional capacity to support current and future traffic needs, boost quality of life through economic development, reduce congestion and improve emergency response times, increase vehicular and pedestrian safety, and strengthen connections between the east and west sides of Kyle.

Participation in the upcoming Road Bond Open House helps ensure that this voter-approved project evolves into a reality that accurately reflects the community’s collective vision for the City of Kyle.

The event will be held in-person at Kyle City Hall, 100 W. Center St., but other options for participation including streaming the panel online through Spectrum 10, the City’s YouTube Channel or the City of Kyle’s Facebook page.
