City of Kyle James Adkins Pool to Open for the Season on Saturday, May 27

KYLE, TEXAS – The City of Kyle Parks and Recreation Department is excited to announce that the James Adkins Pool will open for the summer on Saturday, May 27 at 12:30 p.m.  

The opening of the James Adkins Pool kicks off a busy aquatic season for the City of Kyle Parks and Recreation Department including daily public swim hours, the Dive-In Movie on Friday, July 21, private pool rentals, and the Doggie Dip on Saturday, September 16.  

The James Adkins Pool will be open for public swimming Monday – Thursday from 11 a.m. - 5 p.m., Fridays from 11 a.m. - 6 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday from 12 p.m. - 6 p.m. Starting Friday, August 11 the James Adkins Pool will only be open on the weekends and open swim ends Labor Day Weekend on Sunday, September 3. 

This summer, free admission for public swim will be offered to all residents living within Kyle City limits, through proof of Driver’s License or Identification card, on Mondays and Fridays following City Council action during their Feb. 21, 2023 meeting. City of Kyle residents and non-residents will be charged the following on the remaining days of the week: 

Residents of Kyle (living within city limits): 

  • Ages 0-3: No Charge 
  • Ages 4-12: $1.00 
  • Ages 13-17: $2.00 
  • Ages 18-54: $3.50 
  • Ages 55+: $1.00 

Non-residents of Kyle (living outside city limits): 

  • Ages 0-3: No Charge 
  • Ages 4+: $5.00

Admission is required by all people entering the pool during open swim times, even if not swimming. Payments can be made by credit card or exact cash. Maximum occupancy may require the closure of the pool, even to those with punch cards, rain-checks and re-entry stamps.
