KYLE, TEXAS –– The City of Kyle invites community members to share their thoughts through a new, interactive tool on Kyle2030.com that gives residents a chance to provide feedback on actionable items for the Kyle 2030 Comprehensive Plan rewrite.

The tool walks community members through three stations of the Comprehensive Master Plan, implementation, resources and prioritizations, asking questions and providing prompts to engage residents in giving virtual feedback.

The first station is implementation, which asks residents what specific, measurable, short-term action could be taken by the city to successfully improve life for Kyle residents, such as creating an affordable home repair and foreclosure prevention assistance fund or establishing a downtown coalition to safeguard development and entice additional business.

The second station is resources, such as communities of faith, service and youth organizations, non-profits, and special interest groups. Communities are most successful when an inventory of resources and local groups join forces in implementing a unified Comprehensive Plan. In this station, we are asking community members to list what resources or groups they feel are needed in Kyle to help accomplish this goal and amplify what the city has to offer.

The third station is prioritization, or what needs to happen first. Prioritization is an important part of implementing a community strategy, therefore we are asking community members to share what they would fix about Kyle.

City of Kyle residents can submit multiple answers to the questions, there is no limit to responses. Community feedback is key to crafting a comprehensive plan that reflects the challenges that residents face as well as what they would like to see prioritized in the community. The tool will be on the Kyle 20230 website from now until June 30.
