City of Kyle Parks and Recreation Department Releases 2023 Movies in the Park Lineup

KYLE, TEXAS – The City of Kyle Parks and Recreation Department is excited to announce that Movies in the Park will return for its 21st year this summer and features movies like Encanto, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, Top Gun: Maverick, and Minions: The Rise of Gru.  

Movies in the Park will take place from May to August at the Gregg-Clarke Park basketball courts, 1231-1301 W. Center St., at sundown, which is roughly 8:30-9 p.m. during the summer months.  

Movies in the Park are free and family-friendly. All movies are rated G, PG, or PG-13. No registration is required, but parking is limited so people are encouraged to arrive early in order to guarantee a spot.  

Participants are encouraged to bring something to sit on, blankets and chairs are allowed. Personal food and coolers are also allowed, but please dispose of items in the trash and recycle bins available at Gregg-Clarke Park. Pets are allowed but must remain on a leash. 

The 2023 Movies in the Park schedule is as follows: 

  • Friday, May 26th - Encanto (PG) 
  • Friday, June 23rd - Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (PG-13)  
  • Friday, July 7th - Top Gun: Maverick (PG-13)  
  • Friday, August 11th - Minions: The Rise of Gru (PG)  

Movies in the Park is a weather-dependent event. Notice of cancellation and rescheduling will be made at CityofKyle.com/Movies and on our social media channels.  

The City of Kyle Parks and Recreation Department will also host a Dive-In Movie with the showing of Luca (PG) at James Adkins Pool, 1100 W. Center St., on Friday, July 21 at sundown. Registration and a fee dependent on age is required. All children under 17 must be accompanied by an adult and doors open at 8:15 p.m. For more information, visit cityofkyle.com/recreation/dive-movie-0.  

Should inclement weather occur, the Dive-In Movie may be canceled and rescheduled for a later date. All registered participants will be notified through the email used to register.
