KYLE, TEXAS –– The first ever Kyle Fair A Tex-Travaganza kicks off next Friday, May 19 and runs through Sunday, May 21 at Lake Kyle Park, 700 Lehman Rd. This three-day family-friendly event includes carnival rides and games, a great live music lineup, Ribs and Rita Competitions, crafts and food vendors, our annual World Record attempt, the Gathering of the Kyles, fireworks and more.  

Entertainment: 

Entry to the Kyle Fair A Tex-Travaganza is free, including attendance to live music performances. Country music artists will be featured Friday, May 19 with country singer, songwriter Jon Wolfe as the final act. Saturday, May 20 includes a full day of Conjunto and Tejano music with five-time Grammy award winners Little Joe y La Familia headlining. On the final day of the Kyle Fair, Sunday, May 21 we’re hosting an 80’s dance party with The Spazmatics closing out the night. To see the entire music lineup, visit KyleFair.com

Carnival rides will be available for $4 per ride or $25 for a daily wristband all 3 days of the event. And attendees will get to view a beautiful fireworks display before the final music act on Saturday, May 20 at approximately 9 p.m. 

Kyle fairgoers are allowed to bring in chairs, blankets, sheets, and towels, sunscreen, and baby strollers. There will also be a shade tent near the stage. Check KyleFair.com for a list of prohibited and allowed items. 

Events: 

The Kyle Fair A Tex-Travaganza will host the Gathering of the Kyles, the City of Kyle’s attempt for the Guinness World Record for the largest same-name gathering on Sunday, May 21 at 4 p.m. All eligible Kyle’s are asked to sign in next to the VIP Tent beforehand, a group photo will follow. All Kyles that participate will be given a free T-shirt, while supplies last. Kyle Fairgoers can participate in a People’s Choice Margarita competition on Friday, May 19 and Saturday, May 20 from 5 p.m. - 10 p.m. Individuals over the age of 21 can purchase a refillable margarita glass and wristband for $25 and then vote on which one they like best.   

On Saturday, May 20 there will be a People’s Choice Rib Competition from 4 p.m. - 8 p.m. Individuals of all ages can purchase a wristband for $25 and taste up to 10 different ribs.  

All contest award winners will be announced at 1 p.m. on Sunday, May 21.  

Food and Drinks: 

Along with the Rib and Rita competitions, food will be sold on site by food trucks, food vendors and carnival vendors. There will also be a beer tent on site.  

Kyle fairgoers are allowed to bring in empty, reusable water bottles and hydration packs, and plastic or reusable water bottles. Individuals can bring coolers; however, glass will not be allowed on the Kyle Fairgrounds and alcohol will not be allowed on the free shuttles.  

Transportation, Parking: 

Free Parking and Shuttles for the Kyle Fair will be available at Steeplechase Park, Lehman High School and Tobias Elementary. There will be limited ADA parking available at Lake Kyle Park, 700 Lehman Road, as well as at all shuttle locations. The free shuttles will run continuously during festival hours.

Just download the City of Kyle App, claim your voucher and take a trip to anywhere that begins and ends within Kyle City Limits for the small price of $3.14. City of Kyle residents can expect increased traffic on Lehman Rd. and the surrounding areas during the Kyle Fair and are encouraged to seek alternative routes during festival hours.
