KYLE, TEXAS – The City of Kyle Parks and Recreation Department is gearing up for the summer season, hosting three One-Day Hiring Events to recruit summer staff. The hiring events will take place on Wednesday, Feb. 22, Wednesday, March 22 and Wednesday, April 26 at James Adkins Pool, 1100 W. Center St. from 5 – 6:45 p.m. depending on weather.  

During the events, Parks and Recreation Department staff will give a short presentation with information about available summer camp and pool jobs. The remaining time will be used to conduct on-site interviews with all interested applicants. There is no pre-registration required to attend this event and applications can be filled out on site.  

Kyle Parks and Recreation is looking to fill several aquatic and camp positions including: 

  • Assistant Camp Director 
  • Camp Head Counselor 
  • Teen Camp Counselor 
  • Youth Camp Counselor 
  • Head Lifeguard 
  • Lifeguard  
  • Swim Team Coach

The City of Kyle is offering incentives for all pool and summer camp positions. Employees offered an aquatics position by May 13 will receive a $100 sign-on bonus, and an additional $150 bonus for working through the end of the season (8/26/23). Employees offered a summer camp position by May 13 will receive a $100 sign-on bonus and an additional $150 bonus for working through the end of the season (8/04/23).  

In case of inclement weather, the location and time of the event may be postponed.
