Registration Now Open for City of Kyle Parks and Recreation Summer Camp Program

KYLE, TEXAS –– Early bird registration is now open for the City of Kyle Parks and Recreation Department’s eight-week Summer Camp taking place May 30-July 28, with the 4th of July week off, at Wallace Middle School, 1500 W. Center St. 

Early bird registration begins Monday, Feb. 13, and ends Thursday, March 23. A $120 weekly fee and a non-refundable $20 deposit that goes toward the weekly fee will be charged to those who register during this time. Regular registration begins Friday, March 24, and ends Tuesday, July 18, 2023. A $150 weekly fee and a non-refundable $50 deposit that goes toward the weekly fee will be charged to those who register during this time.  

Alongside the weekly fee, attendees are required to provide an additional one-time, non-refundable $30 registration fee per child that covers the entire 2023 season. This fee is not applicable to attendees already enrolled in the City of Kyle’s Spring Break Camp. There are no scholarships or income-based subsidies available. There are also no discounts for multiple children. Late fees will be added in the amount of $20 to any account with a remaining balance not paid by deadline. All cancellations will come with a fee of $50.  

The Summer Camp has a max capacity of 90 campers per week, 60 Voyagers/Youth (students entering 2nd grade – entering 6th grade) and 30 Adventurers/Teens (students entering 6th grade – entering 9th grade).  

The weekly fee covers two field trips a week to locations like (Main Event, Urban Air, Austin Park N Pizza, and many more fun locations), two pool days a week, two daily snacks and two t-shirts that must be worn on field trip days, along with daily supplies for activities including visits to Mary Kyle Hartson City Square Park, fishing at Lake Kyle and hiking the trails in Kyle. The Kyle Summer Camp does not supply breakfast or lunch. Each camper will be required to bring a water bottle and lunch each day. Camp staff are unable to refrigerate camper lunches. Parents and guardians should make sure lunches contain an ice pack if it needs to remain cool.
