City of Kyle to Hold Emergency Training Exercise for Staff, Kyle Police Department

Emergency Training Closure

WHEN: Tuesday, April 11 starting at 8 a.m.  

WHERE: Kyle City Hall, 100 W. Center St., Kyle, TX 

KYLE, TEXAS –– Kyle City Hall will be closed to the public from 8 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, April 11 for an Emergency Training Exercise for employees at Kyle City Hall, 100 W. Center St.  

Members of the Kyle Police Department, Emergency Communications, Kyle Fire Department (Hays County ESD No. 5), Hays County ESD No.9, City of Kyle Emergency Management, City of Kyle staff and members of the Kyle Fire Academy will be involved in the training.  

This training will allow various City of Kyle agencies to practice emergency response and communications. City of Kyle Emergency Management, city leadership and emergency management staff from surrounding jurisdictions will evaluate the exercise and provide feedback.  

As part of the Emergency Training, blank rounds of ammunition will be fired and members of the Kyle Police Department may be seen conducting a building sweep of Kyle City Hall.  

Members of the media can observe portions of the training but will not be allowed in City Hall during the exercise.
