Translations Now Available on City of Kyle Website

KYLE, TEXAS – KYLE, TEXAS — The City of Kyle has launched a new language translation tool now available on the city website cityofkyle.com.  

Translations are offered in a variety of languages including Spanish, Chinese (Simplified), French, German, Hindi, Italian, Korean, Russian, and Vietnamese.  

“We are excited to offer this new translation service,” City Manager Scott Sellers said. “It allows us to be more inclusive for non-English speaking community members, and it ensures that all of our residents have equitable access to information shared on our website.”  

A translation menu is available in the bottom left corner of the city website in addition to a button prominently featured at the top of every page for Spanish translation. Community members should note that the town’s third-party tool, Google Translate, is an external website and, as such, the city does not control the quality or accuracy of translated content. Community members can report incorrect translation by hovering over the text containing the error and clicking “Contribute a better translation” in the text box that appears.

Traducciones ahora disponibles en el sitio web de la Ciudad de Kyle 

KYLE, TEXAS — La Ciudad de Kyle ha lanzado una nueva herramienta de traducción de idiomas ahora disponible en el sitio web de la ciudad en cityofkyle.com. 

Se ofrecen traducciones en una variedad de idiomas que incluyen español, chino (simplificado), francés, alemán, hindi, italiano, coreano, ruso y vietnamita. 

“Nos alegramos de ofrecer este nuevo servicio de traducción”, dijo el Administrador de la Ciudad Scott Sellers. “Nos permite ser más inclusivos con los miembros de la comunidad no angloparlantes y garantiza que todos nuestros residentes tengan acceso equitativo a la información compartida en nuestro sitio web”. 

En la esquina inferior izquierda del sitio web de la ciudad aparece un menú de traducción además de un botón destacado en la parte superior de cada página que indica traducción al español. Los miembros de la comunidad deberían advertir que la herramienta ajena a la ciudad, Google Translate, es un sitio web externo y, por ese motivo, la ciudad no controla la calidad ni la precisión del contenido traducido. Los miembros de la comunidad pueden informar una traducción incorrecta si colocan el cursor encima del texto que incluye el error y hacen clic en “Contribuir con una mejor traducción” en la casilla de texto que aparece.
