National Animal Control Officer Appreciation Week Proclamation

WHEREAS, the National Animal Control Association has designated the second week of April each year as Animal Control Officer Appreciation Week; and

WHEREAS, the various Federal, State, and Local Government Officials throughout the Country take this time to recognize, thank, and commend all Animal Control Officers and Animal Control Staff for the dedicated service they provide to the citizens, various Public Safety, Public Service Agencies and Departments across the Country; and

WHEREAS, the City of Kyle would like to express its sincere thanks and appreciation for the outstanding service the Kyle Animal Control Officers provide on a daily basis to the Citizens of the City and to the various Public Safety, Public Service Agencies and Departments; and

WHEREAS, the City of Kyle recognizes and commends, Briana Geddes, the Neighborhood Services Supervisor and Kacie Olivo, the Animal Control Officer for the many dedicated and long hours in serving this community and for fulfilling the Animal Control Officers’ commitment to providing the highest and most efficient level of customer service; and

WHEREAS, the City of Kyle wishes to commend our Animal Control Officers, Briana Geddes and Kacie Olivo, for their service, which is in keeping with the long and distinguished tradition of the Animal Control Profession.

NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF KYLE, TEXAS, does hereby proclaim April 9 – 15, 2023 as

“National Animal Control Officer Appreciation Week”

in the City of Kyle, Texas and encourage all citizens to join in, expressing their sincere appreciation for the service and dedication of our Animal Control Officers.
