KYLE, TEXAS –– Roll up your sleeves, lace up your work boots, and volunteer for some outdoor Spring cleaning at the Great Texas River Cleanup on Saturday, March 2 from 8:30 a.m. – 11:30 a.m. at Waterleaf Park, 628 Abundance Lane.

The City of Kyle has 100 volunteer spots available along the Plum Creek Watershed in Waterleaf Park. Volunteers can register as a group or individual. Volunteers signing up as a group are asked to leave the name of the organization in the sign-up comments and the number of volunteers with a single representative’s contact information.

Registration is required to participate. To sign up, visit CityofKyle.com/GTRC and click on the registration links. The deadline to register is Wednesday, Feb. 28 or until all spots are filled.

The Great Texas River Cleanup is a concentrated effort to pick up trash along Plum Creek to keep our natural resources clean and safe for future use. Plum Creek converges with the San Marcos River just south of Interstate 10, eventually flowing into the Gulf of Mexico, an area frequented by many Texans year-round, emphasizing how important it is to take care of the waterways in our own backyards.

Kyle’s portion of the 39th Annual Great Texas River Cleanup is made possible by our great sponsors ALSCO and ENF.
