Kids on Bikes in Parks

Kids on Bikes in Parks is a free cycling skills clinic presented by Violet Crown, The LeadOut Foundation and The City of Kyle taking place on Saturday, March 30 from 9-11 a.m. at Waterleaf Park, 628 Abundance Ln.

During the event a closed course consisting of 1000 ft of grassy parkland will be available for children ages 5-15 to ride their bikes on. We will have open track time with experienced cyclists present to teach lessons and at the top of every hour we will have timed laps for kids to test themselves and track their progress.

There is no cost to participate. Those interested in attending can register at www.bikereg.com/kids-on-bikes-in-parks. Upon registration, parents are asked to group children into Beginner, Intermediate, or Advanced Waves based on skill. For more information, visit www.bikereg.com/kids-on-bikes-in-parks.

Parents/guardians must remain on-site, but can enjoy some cold beverages while supervising their children on course.

A fleet of bikes, provided by WOOM Bikes, will be on hand for any child that does not have a bike of their own or wishes to try another one. All participants are eligible to receive some giveaways from Mellow Johnny's Bike Shop and Trek Bikes.

PLEASE NOTE HELMETS ARE REQUIRED AT ALL TIMES WHEN ON A BIKE
