Kyle's Waste Water Treatment Plant expansion

Kyle's Waste Water Treatment Plant at sunrise

The City of Kyle is expanding its wastewater treatment plant. Why? Great question.

The Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) regulates the design, operation and maintenance of wastewater treatment plants.  The current wastewater treatment plants, which were constructed in 2000 and 2006 are permitted to treat and discharge a total of 3 million gallons per day of wastewater. The treated effluent is discharged into Plum Creek and is tested daily.
