Jennifer Kirkland became the Kyle City Secretary in May of 2016. Previously she served as Assistant City Secretary (July 2015 - May 2016), Community Development Coordinator (December 2014 - July 2015), and Administrative Assistant for the Parks Department (December 2008 - November 2012).
Jennifer holds a bachelor's degree in interdisciplinary studies and an associate's degree in liberal arts. She completed the Texas Municipal Clerks Certification Program in 2019, earning her Texas Registered Municipal Clerk credential.
The office of City Secretary is responsible for many aspects of Kyle government, including City Council agendas and minutes, municipal elections, Public Information Act requests, ethics compliance, records management, oversight of the City's Code of Ordinances, Notary Services, and TABC Application processing.
